Description: Kunjapuri temple located at an altitude of 1645 mts , 26 kms north from Rishikesh. Kunjapuri known for Lord Shiva’s first wife goddess Sati’s temple. Travelling towards Gangotri, about 22 km, from Rishikesh the road bifurcates at Hindola Khal, leading to the shrine, which is 5 km further. Being a prime religious center, thousands of visitors come throughout the year especially during ‘Navratras festival which held in (April and October). it is consider to one of the 52 temples of mother Sati’s which know as saktipeeth (A place of power). Grand Celebrations are held during the Dussehra festival. It is perfect place to see panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks to the north. And Rishikesh, Haridwar and the Doon valley to the South.
Itineraray:
Early morning 45 minutes drive for Narendra Nagar from Rishikesh.
Trek start from Palace of Maharaja Tehri Garhwal, after 15 minuts walk on the Road this beautiful uphill trek take us to Kunjapuri temple through some beautiful village like Kanda and Badheda, Where can see life of the villager and Beautiful fields of Ginger, Mustard, Garlic etc..
After reaching Kunjapuri, guide tells story about the temple, visit temple to get blessing from the priest. After temple Darshan. one can see a stunting view of Himalayas, such as Banderpoonch, Kedarnath, and Choukhamba. After taking some pictures with Himalayas trip finish with a traditional Garhwali Breakfast at temple. Drive back to Rishikesh.

Note:- From Mid-March till Mid-October there is a very little possibility to see the Himalayas. In summer and rainy season it’s very hazy and misty.

I- Marine Drive to Rishikesh

• River Distance – 21 kms.
• Timings – 3/4 hrs ( Drive include)
• River Grading – II – III
Depart for Marine Drive (45 minutes) and walk down to the river Ganga. After preparation and safety instructions start rafting and raft down from Marine Drive to Laxman Jhula, Rishikesh. During this rafting stretch we will hit rapids like Black Money, Three Blind mice, Cross fire, Body Surfing , Return to Sender, Golf Course, Club House and Double Trouble. River timing will be around 3 to 4 hrs.

II- Shivpuri to Rishikesh

River Grading – II –III
Depart for Shivpuri. Arrive at Shivpuri and walk down to the river Ganga. After safety instructions and preparation, start rafting. One of the most popular rafting stretches at river Ganga. In This stretch we will hit exciting rapids on Ganga like return to sender, Roller coaster, Golf Course, Club House and Double Trouble and other small rapid. One can enjoy body surfing on this section to add some extra fun to your rafting trip.

III- Brahampuri to Rishikesh

Depart for Brahampuri. Arrive at Brahampuri and walk down to the river Ganga. After safety instructions and preparation, start rafting. Enjoy the Gentle mild ride with a Grade 1 and 2 rapids till Ram Jhula Bridge. Enjoy body surfing on this section to add some extra fun to your rafting trip.
